A place for self-regulation, discovery and healing

About Me

Hello! My name is Mary Blair Dellinger and I’ve been working with children, adolescents, and adults at the Sterlingworth Center in Greenville, SC since 2015. I’m a graduate of the Licensed Professional Counselor Master’s program at Liberty University and completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of South Carolina. I have received specialized training in neurofeedback, neurostimulation, and qEEG analysis. I serve on the board for the Foundation for Neurofeedback & Neuromodulation Research (FNNR).

I have experience working with a wide range of mental health struggles including: anxiety, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders, depression, TBI/Concussions, anger management, PTSD/trauma, OCD, and relationship problems.

I provide integrative counseling services meaning that I utilize techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for you. My approach draws from multiple theories such as cognitive behavioral therapy, neurotherapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic. It is my belief that it is never too late for change and that when we are able to address the root of our issues it allows us to experience genuine peace and freedom.

Selecting a Reputable Practitioner

You're Always In Control of Your Treatment & Training!

  • Look for a clinician who is board certified by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) and who is either a licensed professional specializing in psychological or mental health disorders or working closely with someone who is.
  • Determine whether the practitioner is a “good fit” by meeting with them before agreeing to a treatment plan.
  • Verify that the practitioner uses up-to-date methods and equipment since the field is changing rapidly. Ask what research backs up the practitioner’s methodology and what kind of training they have had.

Certifications:

BCIA is the only institute recognized worldwide that grants certification to biofeedback practitioners. The Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB), the Biofeedback Foundation of Europe (BFE), and the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR) all endorse BCIA certification. BCIA was established in 1981 to certify individuals who meet education and training standards in biofeedback and progressively recertify those who advance their knowledge through continuing education. More than 1,500 healthcare professionals have achieved this certification in 25 countries. Board Certification demonstrates professionalism and adherence to carefully developed standards as a healthcare provider. Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) procedures follow the Department of Health & Human Services Guidelines.

The International QEEG Certification Board (IQCB) certifies individuals who meet education and training standards in quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) and electrophysiology. IQCB progressively re-certifies those who advance their knowledge through continuing education. Board certification establishes that an individual has met strict requirements and standards of practice in the field of QEEG technology.
